By placing an order with The Birdcage Boutique, you are responsible for original shipping charges, all applicable custom and duty import fees and the cost of return shipping. This also applies to any shipments that are refused by you at delivery.
Please note that we can not guarantee any amendments or cancellations once an order has been processed.

All orders placed Monday – Friday before 1pm AEST will be shipped that day. Orders placed after 1pm will be shipped the following business day. We use Star Track, Fastway, DHL or Australia Post for deliveries within Australia.
On dispatch of your order from our warehouse you will receive an email notification with the courier tracking details; this is issued daily after 6pm AEST.
On delivery, if no one is available to receive the order the courier has ATL – Authority To Leave the order on the property. Once delivery has been made the responsibility of the parcel rests with the buyer. Birdcage does not cover the cost of lost or stolen parcels once delivered. For International deliveries we use a DHL Express that provides accurate real time tracking. Due to customs requirements, unfortunately we can not ship to PO Boxes internationally. Please provide us with a private or business street address.
On dispatch of your order from our warehouse you will receive an email notification with the tracking details. Orders are shipped within 24 hours Monday – Friday. Once in transit we suggest you allow up to 5 business days for delivery.
Customs authorities require that we state the value of the order directly on the package. Your order is shipped DDU – duties and taxes unpaid. VAT, taxes and/ or duties are not included in the shipping fee or the product price. Taxes and/ or duties are not within our control because they are levied by the law of the country your order is being shipped to.
Depending on delivery location customs fees and charges may be payable. This is a responsibility of the recipient and will not be covered by Birdcage. Any orders refused at delivery for this reason will incur the return shipping fee.
Due to increasing restrictions unfortunately we are unable to ship to Russia and Algeria.
*Due to increasing risk and shipping fees to some regions, limited countries will incur a $60 flat shipping fee.

To make Christmas shopping easier we have extended our return timeframe for orders placed in December. Please contact us to organise a return before the 14th January 2019.
Full Price Items
• On full price purchases Birdcage is happy to offer you an exchange, 110% online credit or a refund to your original method of payment.
• Sale items can be returned for store credit only, to the amount paid.
• Please note we do not offer return: refund, exchange or online credit for sale items purchased with a further discount code. These sales are final.
• Full Price items purchased with a discount code may be returned for online credit only unless otherwise listed below.
• Items purchased with the first purchase offer code for subscribing can be returned for a refund, exchange or 110% store credit.
• Sale items purchased with a further discount code are final.
• Returns must be organised and shipped back postmarked within 7 days of delivery.
• Item(s) must be in original condition, unwashed, unworn and with tags attached. Shoes must be in their original boxes. Please take care when trying on garments as item(s) soiled with make-up, dirt, deodorant, food or tanning products etc. will not be accepted.
• Afterpay purchases are subject to standard return policy. Refunds will be processed through Afterpay and any payments made will be fully refunded.
• For health reasons and in the absence of any fault, we do not offer returns, exchange or credit on jewellery
• Online orders can not be returned/exchanged through our flagship store without approval by our online team and an #RA
• Once delivered, please allow 5 business days for processing of returns through the online store.
• Gift Cards are non-refundable.
• Return terms and conditions are valid for online purchases only.
• Exchanges are subject to availability at the time we receive your return.
110% Online Credit
• If you choose 110% store credit as your return option we’ll send you an online store credit voucher via email for 100% of your original purchase plus a bonus 10% to use on your next purchase.
• Valid for 12 months from date of issue.
• Valid as a return option on full price purchases only.
Birdcage does not cover the cost of return shipping. You may choose regular or express shipping methods. We suggest your return is trackable as we can only process returns on items that have been received. Birdcage does not provide received receipt confirmations at this time. Once your return is delivered, please allow up to 5 business days for processing. Once processed you will receive an email confirmation of the refund amount, exchange item(s) or online credit.
